saint-gobain performance plastics (shanghai) co., ltd (sgppl) is a solely foreign invested company established by the industrial ceramic group & plastics group of saint-gobain in 1995 in shanghai china. following that, it opened its shenzhen office in 1998 and beijing office in 1999. the company mainly produces and sells plastic foaming material, films, glass fiber fabrics, teflon coated plastic, performance plastic bearings and seals as well as plastic hose and tubing. sgppl provides products of various applications for industries such as automotive, construction, mechanical & electrical, electronics, textiles and hvac.sgppl is a group which conducts processing of plastic materials; its main business is manufacture of performance plastic and elastomers including all kinds of fluor plastics, polyamides and silicone foam. saint-gobain corporation has made additional investments of 6 million euro in sgppl for its new plant constructions and production line expansions in 2004, due to the products’ competitive advantage and prosperous market. finally its total investment reaches 30 million euro. the first phase and second phase of factory construction was completed in 2005 and 2009 respectively. the newest production line was put into full service use in june, 2009.
